For those who love road trips.

We won't just be admiring nature — we'll also dive into local traditions: witness hunting with golden eagles and Taigan dogs, hear mind-blowing musicians, and take part in assembling a yurt.

You'll need to fly into Bishkek, and the route ends in Bishkek as well. Hence — the ring.

Arslanbob
Arslanbob — the place where all the world's walnuts originated. According to legend, Alexander the Great was here, grabbed a handful of walnuts, and took them with him. Arslanbob is famous for its walnut forests, the ethnic Uzbek village, the Babash-Ata mountain range, two waterfalls, and incredible hospitality. In Arslanbob, we'll definitely take a walk through the walnut forests with breathtaking panoramic views.
Tuuk and Burana Canyons
It's so beautiful, unexpected, and mind-blowing that by this point your jaw will be somewhere on the floor mats of the car. No one — absolutely no one — just you in these unreal places. Well, maybe also the most beautiful horses, cows, and sheep scattered around like sunflower seeds.
Sary-Chelek
An absolutely unreal mountain lake. The road there will first take you across the surface of the Moon (near Tash-Kumyr), and then, from the top of a pass, New Zealand will unfold before you. Such a dramatic change of landscape over such a short distance is almost impossible to imagine. In the Sary-Chelek Nature Reserve, we'll take a stunningly beautiful walk.
Toktogul Reservoir
A hidden gem of the country, even though it lies right along the road. Everyone knows about Issyk-Kul, but almost no one knows about Toktogul — yet it can outshine almost any famous lake you've ever seen. A lake created by human hands, it has become a true masterpiece of nature and people combined. A magnificent walk? Absolutely
Naryn Canyon
An incredible drive along the longest river in Kyrgyzstan, dammed multiple times by a cascade of hydroelectric stations, which has created a fantastic canyon that we will see with our own eyes.
Canyons of the Forgotten Rivers
This place is little known, as is the viewpoint from which you'll have a view like a drone shot. It's a real Death Valley, but right next to it lies an incredibly beautiful lake — Issyk-Kul. And how good it is that we'll be on the side where no one ever goes.
Barskoon, Arabel, and Skazka (Fairy Tale)
If we sum up this day very briefly, here's how it looks: from the sea (and Issyk-Kul really is like a sea), you drive into Switzerland, where you'll find giant fir trees and waterfalls — that's Barskoon gorge. Then, Skazka Canyon — colorful mountains, like those in northern Argentina or Peru.
Mountain passes and roads
The roads are one of the main highlights of this route — and of the entire country. In our humble opinion, the Bishkek–Osh road should be on the list of the most beautiful roads in the world. Too-Ashuu and Ala-Bel — two passes, each at 3,200 meters. We'll drive up to them on the very first day to take in breathtaking panoramas. Then we'll head to the Suusamyr Valley — the largest jailoo in Kyrgyzstan — and Chychkan Gorge, a true Switzerland. All in one day.
TRAVEL MAP
On this trip, we'll drive through nearly the entire country along three main roads: along Issyk-Kul, the old Bishkek–Osh road, and the new road between these two capitals. And, of course, we'll see the best spots lying to the left and right of them. The Too-Ashuu and Arabel passes, Chychkan Gorge, Toktogul Reservoir, Naryn Canyon, Sary-Chelek, and Arslanbob. Phew — what magnificent names.
DAY BY DAY
Day 1 – Bishkek to Remote
09:00 – Breakfast

We'll drive through the Chuy Valley, see Boom Gorge, and stop at Kok-Moinok Canyons for a 1.5-hour walk. The canyons are narrow, steep, and red — very beautiful. Then we'll continue to the southern shore.

We're heading to one of the most beautiful places in the country — the Canyons of the Forgotten Rivers. That's where Remote glamping is located (we built it, we admit). The road to the glamping follows the bed of an ancient river, and we'll feel like we've arrived at a space station. At sunset, we'll hike to a super panoramic viewpoint.

17:00 – Check-in. Dinner at 19:00. We stay overnight at the glamping.
Day 2 – Remote
09:00 – Breakfast

After breakfast, you can go paddleboarding, take a swim, and then we'll gather and head out to explore Skazka Canyon and Barskoon Gorge. In Skazka, we'll walk among the colorful cliffs, and in Barskoon, we'll find ourselves in a local Switzerland, strolling through Tien Shan fir trees toward the waterfalls. We'll return to the glamping by evening.

19:30 – Dinner
Day 3 – Remote to Kyzart
09:00 – Breakfast

We have to leave this place, but the beauty of this incredible country only keeps building. We'll try to climb to an altitude of 3,000 meters to Lake Kol-Ukok. There will definitely be snow and cold, but it's unbelievably beautiful! Then we'll descend, and you can put your shorts back on! A warm place and a very cozy hotel await us at the foot of the Kyzart Pass.

18:00 – Check-in. Dinner at 19:00. We stay overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 4 – Kyzart to Kazarman
09:00 – Breakfast

Something special awaits us. This road is the very essence of beauty. We'll be driving slowly — about 40 kilometers an hour — because you'll want to stop at every turn. Along the way, we'll pop into Min-Kush, an abandoned town nestled among colorful cliffs, see two soaring viaducts, and reach the least populated district of the country — the village of Kazarman — where we'll be welcomed by the locals.

19:00 – Dinner. We stay overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 5 – Kazarman to Arslanbob
09:00 – Breakfast

What we've been waiting for so long — the tunnel connecting Naryn region with Jalal-Abad. We drive under a massive mountain ridge and head toward the homeland of the walnut — the Uzbek village of Arslanbob. We hike to a super panoramic viewpoint of the Babash-Ata massif and walk through the walnut forests. We stay overnight at a guesthouse.

19:00 – Dinner. We stay overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 6 – Arslanbob to Sary-Chelek
09:00 – Breakfast

Today we'll head toward Lake Sary-Chelek. Near Tash-Kumyr, we'll literally land on Mars, and then an hour later we'll find ourselves in New Zealand. An absolutely unreal shift in landscapes. We'll spend the night in the village of Arkyt, at a small guesthouse just 10 km from the lake. On the way, we'll stop to see Tuuk Canyon and Burana — absolutely mind-blowing.

18:00 – Check-in. Dinner at 19:00. We stay overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 7 – Sary-Chelek to Toktogul
09:00 – Breakfast

After breakfast, we'll go to the panoramic viewpoint overlooking the lakes. The views are breathtaking. There will be a billion colors, countless panoramas, and the road is stunningly beautiful.

After a snack, we'll drive through some madly beautiful landscapes. The Naryn River Canyon, followed by the simply incredible Toktogul Reservoir — masterpieces created by both man and nature. We'll make plenty of beautiful photo stops.

19:00 – Check in to a new hotel in Toktogul, then dinner.
Day 8 – Toktogul to Bishkek
08:00 – Breakfast

In the morning, we'll walk to a viewpoint overlooking the Toktogul Reservoir. The path is manageable for everyone, nothing too difficult. After that, Chychkan Gorge awaits us, then Ala-Bel Pass at 3,200 meters, and the giant green jailoo — the largest in the country — the Suusamyr Valley. The number of unforgettable names has doubled. Lots of time for contemplation and photo stops.

The final stop of the day will be Bishkek — and for some, the airport!
